Adam Zwig will release his EP titled “Stones, Bones and Skin” on August 18th.
On his forthcoming EP, the captivating Stones, Bones, and Skin (Conscious Records), singer-songwriter Adam Zwig channels a hypnotic and harmonious hybrid of Americana, pop, rock, folk and world music. Due out on August 18th, Stones, Bones and Skin contains five new sparkling tracks produced by the Grammy Award-winning David Bianco (Bob Dylan, U2, Johnny Cash) and Stuart Sikes (The White Stripes, Loretta Lynn), the pair responsible for Zwig’s recent full-length Visions of the Shimmering Night.
Portland, Oregon-based Zwig together, with his band, including drummer Brian MacLeod (Madonna, Tears for Fears, “Tuesday Music Club” with Sheryl Crow) and bassist Davey Faragher (Elvis Costello, Elton John, Cracker), bring the dynamic EP to life.
The record’s theme that situations are not always what they seem and people have many sides is reflected in the first single “Going Back to Vermont.” The track, a Top 10 Adult Contemporary hit, has a rustic instrumentation that bristles along with Zwig’s impressive delivery as the song converges on an unshakable refrain.
The entrancing and beautifully moody “Nowhere To Be Found” leads into the ebullient “Sunshine Waves” conjuring the wistful whimsy of the Pacific Northwest in its organic delivery, while “Raising People” boasts an uplifting vibe through a steady upbeat. Everything culminates on the remix of “Waiting on Heaven (To Make a Move),” which embraces a triumphantly soaring orchestral arrangement.
Zwig recently captured live performances of “Sunshine Waves,” “Raising People,” and “Waiting on Heaven (To Make a Move)” for a series of new videos to be released soon. Stay tuned!
