Delta RaeDelta Rae : A little gem : a unique experience, highly recommended to anyone who love true music. If you are unfamiliar, it is time to listen to them. A musical sensation guaranteed to give you shills.

If you haven’t spent any time with Durham, North Carolina’s Delta Rae yet, here’s the perfect introduction. To capture what a band with four equally talented lead singers looks and sounds like, The Warner Sound shot Delta Rae performing a live medley of four songs, each featuring a different lead singer, in one take. The video came out incredibly well.

It’s been a wild couple months for Delta Rae. Their debut album Carry The Fire came out on June 19th (iTunes) and to celebrate, Delta Rae performed their single “Bottom Of The River” on The Tonight Show w/Jay Leno. The band sold out headlining gigs at Bowery Ballroom in NYC, The Independent in San Francisco and at The Troubadour in LA. They were hand selected by Rolling Stone as part of their “Women Who Rock” campaign and championed by USA Today, KCRW, Billboard, Forbes & ELLE among others. Last week, they performed their single “Bottom Of The River” on The Big Morning Buzz Live on VH1.

Delta Rae were signed to Warner Bros. Records by legendary A&R man Seymour Stein who is responsible for Madonna, Talking Heads and The Ramones among others. They’re a six member band, with three siblings and four lead singers. The band’s genre-bending sound is rooted in four-part harmonies and they’ve created their own Southern influenced version of Americana-tinged pop music deep in passion, heart and soul. You need to see them live to fully understand what this is all about. Come out to a show! Delta Rae will be on the road the rest of the summer and fall including stops in Nashville, TN 09/12 for Americana Festival and in Los Angeles 09/22 at El Rey Theatre. A full list of dates is below.
