The VIP Opening Reception will be held on Saturday, April 11th, 8 – 11PM
The exhibit will be on view to the public April 12th – April 26th.
Entitled “Channel 7 (GBDF)”, the exhibition is a series of visual musical compositions where the 7th Channel denotes the G chord in the musical scale. The number seven is a mystic and spiritual number that is synonymous with creation. In this series Maxwell ponders the subject of creation, involution and evolution. Maxwell’s work has always grappled with the origins of Man. Inspired by Carl Jung’s, “Man and His Symbols, Joseph Campbell’s, “The power of Myth”, and hermetic literature, Channel 7 ponders the universe before time, from the ‘Big Bang”, evolution, to the present through mythology.
