Scottish singer and songwriter Lewis Capaldi released a new track Lost On You today on Capitol Records via all digital partners.
“‘Lost On You‘ is a tune about the realisation that a relationship isn’t salvageable or isn’t going to work out, despite best efforts from both sides,” says Capaldi about the elegiac piano ballad. “The whole song kind of expresses the bittersweet feeling of ending things with someone you’re really into, because you know they’ll be better off with someone else.”
Co-written by Capaldi, Lost on You is the follow-up to his independently released debut single Bruises, which held the No. 1 spot on Spotify’s New Music Friday playlist in March and amassed over 16 million total streams across all digital platforms globally in just 10 weeks.
