Shura shares new video for 'What's It Gonna Be' and evokes John Hughes

Shura shares her new video for her track What’s It Gonna Be. The song is taken from her debut LP Nothing’s Real ,due out July 8.

Like something straight out of a John Hughes movie,  Shura re-enacts some of her favorite classic films like the Breakfast Club and E.T. with real life brother Nick and adorably spotlights young LGBTQ relationships. It’s youthful, bubblegum aesthetic is attributed to director Chloe Wallace and legendary production company CANADA.

About the video, Shura explains that they explored those archetypical characters – The Jock, The Popular Girl, The Dork – and then,  flip viewer’s expectations.

‘What’s It Gonna Be?’ is based on my personal experience as a kid; thinking you’re in love but then realising that’s maybe just because you feel you should be (and ending up with someone totally unexpected).” – Shura
