ICYMI, watch Lewis Capaldi perform his new track Lost on You.
“The song is a tune about the realization that a relationship isn’t salvageable or isn’t going to work out, despite best efforts from both sides,” says Capaldi. “The whole song kind of expresses the bittersweet feeling of ending things with someone you’re really into, because you know they’ll be better off with someone else.”
The track, which already has over two million streams in less than 3 weeks is out now via Capitol Records.
Co-written by Capaldi, Lost on You is the follow-up to his independently released debut single Bruises, which held the No. 1 spot on Spotify’s New Music Friday playlist in March and amassed over 17 million total streams across all digital platforms globally in just 10 weeks.
